About the Opportunity:

GPAC is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Civil Construction Project Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and manage heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and clients to establish project objectives and ensure effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Oversee project budgets, including cost tracking and forecasting, to ensure financial performance aligns with company goals.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess project status, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Lead project meetings with stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and facilitate problem-solving.
  • Ensure all project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, are accurately maintained.
  • Manage project risk through proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
  • Foster a positive team environment and promote collaboration among project team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management within the heavy civil construction sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, particularly in highway and bridge construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
