The Production Supervisor will oversee the planning, scheduling, and management of all stages involved in the final assembly and shipment of complete vehicle frames and suspension systems. This role entails leading a team of 8-10 skilled assembly technicians, order pickers, and shipping personnel to achieve production targets. The supervisor will be accountable for the entire process of transitioning raw and fabricated components through assembly to deliver finished products ready for shipment.


Key Responsibilities

Directs and organizes production operations, setting priorities and processes for the final assembly phases.Leads a team of 6-8 assembly technicians to meet production objectives.Schedules component assembly based on production capacity, inventory levels, and external service requirements.Coordinates with external service providers for processes such as plating, anodizing, and powder coating, along with managing internal transportation schedules.Supervises crating and inventory management to ensure timely order completion and readiness for shipment.Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and develops strategies to enhance operational efficiencies.Collaborates with the Purchasing/Inventory Manager to ensure accurate inventory and demand forecasting to support production schedules.Acts as a liaison between assembly operations and engineering teams.Reviews and updates work instructions to maintain smooth production flow.Coordinates assembly efforts with Sales, Customer Service, and Shipping departments.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management and scheduling.Strong strategic planning abilities and comprehensive knowledge of production planning methodologies.Excellent critical thinking skills with the capacity to adapt to daily challenges affecting production.Basic understanding of vehicle mechanical assembly and its components.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.Able to navigate complex issues in a dynamic work environment.Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Global Shop Solutions for production, scheduling, and inventory management is preferred.
