Medical Laboratory Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures and functions to ensure the quality and accuracy of test results.
Key Responsibilities- Specimen Evaluation: Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
- Instrumentation: Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
- Technical Decision-Making: Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
- Quality Control: Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Supply Management: Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Assist with processing of specimens when needed and maintain a safe work environment.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory requirements.
- Certification: ASCP Certified as MLT or MLS.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Medical Technologist/Technician is highly preferred.
- Skills: Ability to work independently and within a team environment, proficient with computers, and familiarity with laboratory information systems.
