Critical Care Nursing Support Specialist

About the Job
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Critical Care CNA to join our team at AdventHealth Littleton. As a member of our intensive care unit, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care and support our team of healthcare professionals.
Job Summary:
The Critical Care CNA works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients. This includes transcribing physician orders, providing unit clerical functions, and assisting with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transcribes physician orders and performs unit clerical functions to facilitate quality of patient care.
- Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by a Registered Nurse.
- Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members.
- Performs patient observation via EEG and video monitoring and identifies patient changes.
- Promptly notifies RN of aura, changes in EEG or patient behavior and epileptic suspected changes to ensure patient safety.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma OR GED
- Certified Nursing Assistant - State Registered
- Graduate of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program
- BLS certification credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
