Healthcare Support Specialist Job Description

Families rely on us for quality healthcare. We need a skilled Healthcare Support Specialist to support our medical staff at Family Practice Center's New Cumberland location.

About the Role:

This role plays a vital part in ensuring that our patients receive excellent care. As a key member of our medical team, you will be responsible for supporting healthcare providers with various tasks and activities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accompany patients throughout their visit, taking time to address their concerns and provide reassurance
  2. Prepare treatment rooms for visits and ensure all necessary equipment is available
  3. Support healthcare providers with clinical procedures and administrative tasks
  4. Document patient interactions and update records as needed
  5. Respond promptly to patient inquiries and escalate issues to appropriate staff when necessary

Requirements:

  • At least one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and training
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional certification or degree in a related field (e.g., medical assisting, nursing)

Salary Range:

$48,000 - $58,000 per year, depending on experience
