Overview:
Our esteemed client is seeking a skilled Imaging Equipment Technician to enhance their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will execute tasks with minimal oversight and will be accountable for servicing various imaging devices and systems, including dental x-ray, portable x-ray, ultrasound, x-ray film developers, computed radiography equipment, film printers, and C-arms. Under general supervision, the technician will handle maintenance and repairs on diverse imaging systems such as radiographic/fluoroscopic, chest x-ray, mammography, nuclear medicine, angio/cath, lithotripter, and direct radiographic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in clinical imaging and radiation therapy equipment.
- Conduct safety and preventive maintenance inspections to ensure compliance with manufacturer and industry standards.
- Provide guidance to fellow technicians on preventive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
- Participate in special projects, including equipment evaluations, incident reporting, and assisting in the design of clinical equipment installation areas.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- AAS degree in Electronic or Instrumentation Technology with a focus on Biomedical Engineering Technology is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting or equivalent military training in the biomedical and imaging field is required.
- Basic computer skills are necessary; advanced networking and system integration knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics and mechanical diagrams.
- A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for servicing offsite locations are required.
