Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner to join our ENT team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of conditions, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Conduct thorough health assessments, including physical examinations and psychosocial evaluations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and radiological studies.
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments as needed, in accordance with New York State law and hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health and wellness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in family medicine and ENT.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Current registration as a Professional Nurse in New York and registration as a Nurse Practitioner in New York.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical area of practice, such as family medicine or ENT.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least five years of clinical nursing practice in the care of patients with ENT conditions.
  • Experience as a nurse practitioner in a similar setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
  • Physical stamina, manual dexterity, and visual and aural acuity to perform responsibilities.
