Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Door Repair Technician to join our team at Jones Lang LaSalle IP, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ. As a Door Repair Technician, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various doors and door systems within our clean room manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various doors and door systems, including automatic and manual doors, dock levelers, and exterior sliding gates.
  • Perform preventative maintenance services, repairs, and testing on all door types as indicated on the PM schedule.
  • Adhere to client SOPs around clean door preventative maintenance.
  • Respond to emergencies within two hours for doors within Buildings B311 and B321.
  • Provide support on general maintenance activities, including interior maintenance, minor plumbing repairs, lighting system maintenance, and special tasks.
  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as-found conditions affecting client occupancy and operations.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Recognize and propose methods to eliminate safety hazards.
  • Maintain compliance with State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Document work performance and materials procurement as directed.
  • Communicate with management, partners, and Facility Services Manager regarding issues, project completion timelines, and workload priorities.
  • Maintain tools, parts, equipment, and supplies in clean and safe condition.
  • Act as a resource for all partners in equipment and service maintenance.
  • Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
  • Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to analyze door operation, determine problems, and take corrective action.
  • Extensive knowledge of door systems within a clean room manufacturing facility.
  • Understanding of controls, interlocks, and door sweeps to maintain cascading pressurization.
  • Candidate must be willing to work in a multi-skilled team environment.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications, including Gmail, Google Docs, Word, and Excel skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • May be required to work overtime to meet deadlines.
