Job Overview

St. Charles Community College seeks a highly qualified part-time faculty member to teach courses in manufacturing at our campus in St. Charles County, Missouri.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes and equipment, with experience in teaching or training others in these areas.


Estimated Salary Range:

$40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.


Responsibilities

This part-time faculty position involves teaching courses in manufacturing, certificate, and degree programs, both lectures and labs. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and delivering training content that complies with industry-recognized manufacturing procedures.

  • Teach courses in manufacturing principles, safety, and specializations, including quality, processes, maintenance, and lean manufacturing approaches.
  • Deliver hands-on training in various technical assignments and laboratory instruction to prepare students for the manufacturing workforce.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • An associate's degree with at least five years of experience in manufacturing machining/fabrication/welding or a closely related field.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • A minimum of one year of instructor/training experience within the last ten years in manufacturing or industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with a bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in manufacturing/machining/fabrication/welding or a closely related field are preferred. Additionally, experience in an academic setting is highly valued.
