As the medical director, you will be responsible for leading and directing a team of 20+ physicians and advanced practice clinicians. Your role will be a mix of administrative and clinical time, requiring you to develop and maintain relationships, impact clinical strategies, and oversee clinical, financial, human, and capital resources of the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with hospital staff and administration to promote patient satisfaction and improve value-based healthcare delivery.
- Oversee the clinical, financial, human, and capital resources of the facility to ensure optimal performance.
- Attend hospital medical staff meetings and serve as a representative on hospital committees.
- Produce and manage FMD reports to regional medical director, senior vice president, executive vice president, and vice president operations.
- Schedule, conduct, and report on monthly or bi-monthly departmental meetings, manage staffing schedule, and lead a core clinical team.
- Produce and execute a yearly departmental strategic plan.
- Lead monthly goal progress meetings with hospital administration and attend leadership training programs provided by TeamHealth.
