The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention seeks an experienced leader to oversee our chapter operations in New Mexico and Arizona. As Executive Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and management to our team, ensuring we deliver impactful programs and services to those affected by suicide.
Reporting to the Vice President, Western Division, you will work closely with our Board of Directors and volunteers to develop and implement annual budgets and business plans. Your leadership skills will be essential in recruiting, training, and supervising staff and volunteers to carry out our mission. You will also be responsible for non-event fundraising, public education, advocacy, and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement annual budget and business plan with the Chapter Board of Directors
- Supervise staff and volunteers to ensure effective program delivery
- Oversee non-event fundraising efforts
- Lead public policy activities, including recruiting Chapter Ambassadors and staffing Public Policy committees
- Primary contact for PR/Communication activities, including emails, website, and social media
- Supervise Fundraising Manager and Programs Manager
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-7 years' experience in non-profit fundraising, program delivery, and volunteer management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed
