Job Summary

Ruge's Automotive Inc is seeking a skilled Sales Consultant to join our team. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for greeting customers, performing needs analyses, and negotiating sales prices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers on the sales floor and perform a needs analysis to determine their vehicle requirements.
  • Explain features and demonstrate the operation of vehicles in the showroom or on the road.
  • Research availability of models and optional equipment using computer databases.
  • Negotiate sales prices, including tax, trade-in allowance, license fee, discount, and requirements for financing or lease payment of vehicles.
  • Walk the lot and visually inspect inventory to ensure accurate pricing and availability.
  • Complete all paperwork and arrange for delivery and registration of vehicles.
  • Deliver and familiarize customers with their new vehicles.
  • Attend and complete required training to stay up-to-date on industry developments and company policies.
Requirements
  • One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Sales skills, great communication, and excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Organization and thorough follow-up skills are necessary for staying in touch with clients prior to and after the sale.
  • A current valid driver's license is required for all employees.
  • Mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
