Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary expert to join our team at Perkins Restaurant & Bakery - KRMM hospitality. As a full-time cook, you will be responsible for preparing menu items according to company policies and procedures, maintaining food costs, and ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Prepare menu items according to company recipes and procedures, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
  • Maintaining Food Costs: Control food costs by following FIFO standards, using ingredients efficiently, and minimizing waste.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, prep areas, coolers, and storage areas, adhering to OSHA requirements and health department standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the kitchen manager, manager on duty, and other team members to achieve maximum guest satisfaction and quality of work environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: None required; basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service can be taught through in-house training.
  • Physical Demands: Extensive standing and walking for up to 8 hours; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and dish and cleaning chemicals.
  • Work Schedule: Irregular hours under heavy pressure/stress during busy times.
