KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Cloud Solutions Engineering Lead will report to the Senior Manager of Cloud Engineering within the Technology Division. This position is pivotal in managing and supporting both public and private cloud services as well as network infrastructures. You will oversee the deployment and configuration of all servers and peripherals, contributing to the overall Technology Platform Architecture. Furthermore, this role entails maintaining and supporting all server and cloud solutions across various data center platforms and locations globally.

Key functions include:

  • Overseeing existing network, server, and communication systems.
  • Participating in the design and execution of IT-related initiatives.
  • Planning, designing, engineering, implementing, and analyzing capacity for networks and hardware configurations.
  • Developing options, recommendations, and associated cost/benefit analyses to implement effective solutions.
  • Creating and maintaining tools and processes that automate technical systems for teams.
  • Fostering a culture of DevOps philosophy.
  • Researching, evaluating, and recommending new tools and technologies.
  • Ensuring excellent client service communication, response, and resolution.
  • Managing and ensuring the effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls and monitoring systems.
  • Recommending enhancements to improve product quality and procedures.
  • Coordinating disaster recovery testing activities and driving remediation efforts.
  • Effectively managing relationships with third-party vendors.
  • Implementing IT controls, tracking, and reporting processes across IT.
  • Encouraging knowledge sharing within the team and across IT disciplines.
  • Improving the stability and resilience of production processes and establishing a robust support model.
  • Managing multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity.
  • Supporting the overall IT Governance structure with a focus on Server and Application Infrastructure.
  • Focusing on implementing cost-effective and extensible solutions.
  • Staying informed about project status and issues.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including clients, developers, and vendors.
  • Establishing a vision for strategic information and technical architectures.
  • Facilitating the implementation of a cost-effective application architecture.
  • Analyzing industry trends and assessing their impact on our Technology landscape.
  • Working with internal sales and external clients to assess scalable process and data integration solutions.
  • Collaborating with Audit and Business teams to support compliance requirements.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, systems administration, and application support.
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience.
  • Technical expertise in system administration design and operations.
  • Experience with architecture and support of cloud solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of virtualization tools such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong technical background in networking and infrastructure engineering.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Cobit, and TOGAF is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of IT Security.
