Job Title: Right of Way Acquisition Agent

Evolve Surface Strategies Inc. is a leading provider of land acquisition services, specializing in environmental and community engagement. We serve various industries across North America, including renewable energy, oil and gas, utilities, transportation, land development, telecommunications, and general land access.

We are seeking a highly skilled Right of Way Acquisition Agent to join our team in Northern California. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective public consultation and acquisition of surface rights, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing interest and negotiating with landowners to acquire necessary property rights for solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects
  • Performing necessary research and due diligence to support acquisition of land rights
  • Participating in open houses and other landowner events
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Land Acquisition
  • Willingness to travel to new areas and learn new industries related to Right-of-Way work
  • Comfort and competence with technology-based update and project management systems
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, including Power Point, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong competencies relating to reviewing legal contracts and ability to learn new agreements supporting renewable energy projects
  • Solution-driven and ability to find common ground to support mutually beneficial agreements when presented with challenging scenarios among external stakeholders
  • Strong consultation and negotiation skills when engaging stakeholders to facilitate land access
  • Experienced with a variety of acquisition agreements required to secure land access
  • Ability to organize projects and work independently for periods
  • Professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information
