Job Description:

A Certified Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in healthcare settings by providing clinical and administrative support to physicians and patients. Responsibilities include taking patient histories, assisting with examinations, performing basic laboratory tests, and managing medical records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting patient data and vital signs.
  • Assisting healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Conducting basic laboratory tests and collecting specimens.
  • Administering medications and injections as directed.
  • Coordinating patient appointments and managing schedules.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and files.
  • Handling billing and insurance claims.
  • Providing patient education and support on treatment plans.
  • Ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
  • Communicating effectively with patients and healthcare teams.

Requirements:

  • BLS/ACLS certifications required.
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant License or ability to obtain within 180 days.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and stress management skills.
