Nurse Team Leader Position in Critical Care

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Team Leader to join our team at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth. This rewarding position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, making it an attractive opportunity for those passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
Salary InformationThe estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
Job ResponsibilitiesKey Job Functions:
- Clinical Leadership: Demonstrate expertise in assessing patient needs and developing effective care plans.
- Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
- Patient Advocacy: Foster strong relationships with patients and families to promote positive outcomes.
- Quality Improvement: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, evaluate, and supervise patient care utilizing Core Values in service, teamwork, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management.
- Consistently model effective interpersonal and leadership skills necessary to promote collaborative working relationships with healthcare team members.
- Assist the manager with daily operations to accomplish departmental goals.
- Coordinate and participate in educational programs, in-services, and performance improvement activities to enhance technical skills within and outside the specialty area.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrate leadership in patient management, including real-time service recovery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary departments to facilitate smooth patient flow.
- Ensure unit and staff compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and report on clinical knowledge of current staff.
- Serve as a resource to all staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or other advanced degree considered.
- Current Charge experience required with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Minimum of 2 years' RN experience in Critical Care required.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- AHA ACLS and CPI certifications required within 6 months of hire.
- Department-specific certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Current Massachusetts RN license required.
