We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiothoracic Surgery Stepdown professional to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a leading academic health system, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive environment that enables you to reach new heights in your career.

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, is the estimated salary for this position. Our total compensation package includes comprehensive health benefits, student loan repayment assistance, family-focused benefits, wellness incentives, and ongoing mentorship and leadership programs.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a nationally acclaimed cardiac program, thriving in a complex and fast-paced environment. You will be part of a dedicated surgical team, working with chest tubes, surgical wounds, hanging blood, anti-arrhythmic drugs, inotropes, pacing wires, trachs, and LVADs.

  • Patient Population: Heart transplantation, coronary bypass grafts (CABGs), valve repairs or replacement, thoracic aneurysm repair, congenital heart defect repair, and ventricular assist devices (VADs).

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3-4. Our staff raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care, in the most compassionate way. Come be a part of the team.

Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Experience: 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
  • Licensure: Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
