Position Summary

Maintenance Responsibilities: Conduct routine maintenance on various equipment including vehicles, tractors, lawnmowers, and other machinery. This includes inspecting tires, fluids, belts, lights, and batteries. Internal maintenance tasks involve upkeep of furniture, audiovisual tools, computers, and cleaning equipment. Accurate reporting of vehicle and equipment usage is required.

Administrative Duties: Familiarity with scheduling protocols is essential. Responsibilities include generating invoices, managing receipts, recording financial transactions, procuring supplies, maintaining vending machines, and assisting with budget management and grant applications.

Plumbing Tasks: Perform installation and repairs on sinks, toilets, garbage disposals, ice machines, water lines, faucets, backflow preventers, and water meters.

Carpentry Work: Engage in fixture relocation or replacement, drywall repairs, shelving installation, painting, and building maintenance.

Electrical Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical systems, including breakers and circuits, is necessary.

Janitorial Duties: Oversee all cleaning responsibilities within the facility, including carpets, floors, windows, kitchen appliances, bathrooms, walls, and offices. Painting duties may also be required.

Seasonal Responsibilities:

Summer: Duties during warmer months involve landscaping, lawn care, gardening, and maintenance of irrigation systems. Responsibilities also include caring for the arena and track, as well as fencing repairs.

Winter: Tasks include snow removal from entryways, parking areas, and sidewalks, utilizing heavy equipment as necessary.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is between $50,511.00 and $61,406.00, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado driver's license; CDL Class B preferred.
  • Completion of ICS 100, ICS 200, and ICS 700 within the first year of employment.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a physically demanding role.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of business administration principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with the policies and procedures of the Fred R. Field Western Heritage Center.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate reports.
  • Capability to interpret and enforce County policies and regulations.
  • Proficient in building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Good physical health to perform job duties effectively.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and relevant software.
