Senior Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Review specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy, and marketing presentations as requested.
- Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of certain sections and reviewing vendor quotations.
- Review and incorporate historical data from prior projects as required.
- Interface with Owner, A/E and/or subcontractors to provide accurate cost estimates.
- Prepare conceptual estimates as needed by our clients.
- Participate in plan review and estimating reviews for prospective projects.
- Understanding of construction specifications and blueprint reading.
- Responsible for soliciting subcontractors/suppliers to ensure proper coverage.
- Utilize and complete the subcontractor pre-qualification.
- Identify and distribute documents to interested bidders.
- BA/BS degree in construction management, engineering, or 5+ years of experience in the estimating or project management field.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Ground up project knowledge and experience preferred.
- Proficient in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Sage, MS Project.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Interest in mentorship opportunity.
- Quantity takeoff and cost estimate experience.
- Base salary ranging from $100,000 - $120,000 depending on experience.
