Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Physical Therapy Tech to join our team at Spire Orthopedic Partners. This role will support the physical therapy care delivery team by preparing treatment areas, patient equipment and materials, and performing procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist.

As a Physical Therapy Tech, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our physical therapy department. You will work closely with our physical therapy staff to provide high-quality patient care and achieve exceptional results.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and organize work areas and disinfect equipment after treatment
  • Prepare and maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Observe patients during treatment to compile and evaluate data on patients' responses and progress, and report to physical therapists
  • Instruct, motivate, safeguard, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under the direction of medical staff
  • Confer with physical therapy staff and others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment
  • Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or providing standing support
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • One year of physical therapy experience or medical office experience preferred
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, insurance regulations, policies, procedures, and other regulatory policies
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment
  • Able to react calmly and effectively under stress
  • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures
