Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and Review: Prepare and complete tax returns and reports involved with federal and state income taxes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Tax Provision: Assist in the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns and quarterly estimated and extension payment computations, as well as support the company's corporate income tax provision process for compliance with US GAAP/SEC reporting as required by ASC 740.
  • Audit Support: Assist with federal and state income tax audits, as necessary, and provide support for various special projects and ad hoc tax assignments as needed in all areas of tax.
  • Research and Development: Research developments in tax law to determine appropriate tax methods and identify tax savings opportunities for the company.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in income tax compliance for large consolidated corporations for a publicly traded company and income tax accounting reporting under ASC 740.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Certifications: CPA certification.
  • Advanced Education: Master of Business in Taxation.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with OneSource Tax Provision Software, Longview Tax Provision Software CorpTax, and Sage Fixed Assets is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to write tax position papers and technical memos to support Company's tax positions.
