Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • No supervisory duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange dining areas with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist in meal preparation under the guidance of a dietary supervisor or chef.
  • Serve meals and trays to residents at scheduled times and designated locations.
  • Clear dining areas and collect used dishes, utensils, and glassware.
  • Dispose of leftover food and manage waste disposal.
  • Maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas and wash kitchenware.
  • Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
  • Support budget tracking and assist in menu development.
  • Help maintain kitchen appliances and equipment.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience as a dietary aide.
  • Experience in customer service is advantageous.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in meal preparation following specific guidelines.
  • Adept at using cooking tools and appliances.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good physical fitness and endurance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food service is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Experience in senior living environments is preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting, carrying, and placing items weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
  • Comfortable with frequent hand immersion in water.
  • Ability to work in warm and humid conditions.
