American Medical Staffing (AMS) is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Weston, WV.

This is a state psychiatric hospital with a primary focus on forensic patients and a maximum capacity of 200-beds.

Psych RN Job Details:

  • Pay Rate: $1,900 to $2,100 per week
  • Schedule: Variable Shifts
  • Available Shift: Rotating, 3-4 shifts per week
  • Located In: Weston, WV
  • Requirements: Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 year of experience, preferably in a psych, corrections or similar setting, have a valid RN license and be willing to obtain WV and/or compact licensure.

As a Registered Nurse in a state psychiatric setting, you'll play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to institutionalized individuals, promoting their well-being and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing patient health status, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions as needed
  • Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Monitoring patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary
  • Collaborating with healthcare team members, correctional staff, and community resources to ensure continuity of care
  • Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
