Job Description
This exciting opportunity is for an experienced CDL Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods and equipment to various job sites.

You will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, loading and unloading cargo, and communicating effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members. Your strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and dedication to delivering exceptional service make you an ideal candidate for this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate and maneuver commercial vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured and distributed within the vehicle.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours of service.
  • Perform groundwork, including making up materials for linemen.
  • Prepare safe work zones using signs and cones.
  • Assist in the training of new ground help and truck drivers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • A clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating commercial vehicles, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
  • A valid DOT Card.
  • The ability to back trailers.
  • The ability to drive a manual transmission.
  • The ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • The ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

Benefits:
We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including:
  • $25-30 per hour (paid weekly), dependent on experience.
  • $80-100 per diem, depending on location and job requirements.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays. You can expect to work 10-to-12 hour shifts, averaging 50-60 hours per week.
