Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair deficiencies in equipment and systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and documentation in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint to track maintenance activities and provide insights for future improvements.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Painting and Refinishing: Prepare and paint walls and woodwork, and perform other types of refinishing as required.
  • Installation and Repair: Install or repair carpet, and perform custodial duties as needed.
  • Operational Support: Assist in the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems, including plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and electrical systems.
  • Inventory Control: Assist with inventory control and recommend purchases and cost-saving measures.
  • Blueprints and Drawings: Work from blueprints, drawings, or oral instructions to complete tasks.
  • Repair and Installation: Repair counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, and trim, and install glass in windows, doors, and partitions.
  • Supervision and Training: May supervise temporary employees and volunteers, and train and schedule the workloads of custodial staff.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least three to five years of experience in the maintenance field, with experience on large complexes and HVAC knowledge desired.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Special Requirements: Valid state driver's license, and ability to pass a background check.
