Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Connections Academy. As a Virtual Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide high-quality speech therapy services to K-12 students who are enrolled in our virtual public schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Virtual Speech Therapy Services: Connect with students using webcams and web conferencing software, while utilizing our online Education Management System to manage your caseload.
  • Plan and Implement Individual and Group Therapy: Develop and implement individualized and group therapy plans in a virtual environment, ensuring that students receive the support they need to achieve their goals.
  • Expertise in School and State Policies: Stay up-to-date on assigned school and state-specific policies and procedures for implementing LiveSpeech services, ensuring compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain a positive working relationship between the LiveSpeech team, schools, and programs we serve, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Timely and thoroughly document therapeutic interventions and progress reports, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Meetings and Consultations: Meet bi-weekly with your supervisor, conduct screenings and formal and informal evaluations, and consult with teachers and parents to ensure that students' IEP goals are being met.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, valid Florida licensure in Speech Pathology, and ability to obtain and maintain multiple required state certifications and clearances.
  • Experience and Skills: 2+ years of experience in a K-12 school setting, strong technology skills, high degree of flexibility, and excellent communication skills.
