Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate allergy and asthma provider to join our team at Meritus Health. As an allergy and asthma provider, you will diagnose and treat patients with allergic conditions, such as asthma, hay fever, eczema, food allergies, and drug allergies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess allergic triggers and symptoms, as well as asthma severity and control.
  • Perform diagnostic tests, such as skin prick tests, blood tests, spirometry, and pulmonary function tests, to identify allergic sensitivities and assess lung function.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that may include medication management, immunotherapy, environmental control measures, and asthma action plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about allergic conditions, asthma triggers, medication usage, and self-management strategies.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, pulmonologists, and allergists, to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
  • Stay informed about the latest research, advancements, and guidelines in the fields of allergy and asthma management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.
  • Current state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care to pediatric patients and their families.
