Overview

As an EEG Technologist III, you will play a critical role in our Epilepsy Center, working closely with our team of neurologists and neurosurgeons to provide high-quality diagnostic services to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities
• Safely operate and maintain multiple sophisticated medical equipment, including EEG and video recording systems.
• Perform basic and complex electrophysiological recording, following physician's orders and historical information.
• Recognize and manage seizures in Phases I and Phase II epilepsy patients, and report any significant patient abnormalities to the appropriate physician.
• Provide Electroneurodiagnostic testing to patients, providing vital information to assist in the diagnosis of suspected neurological disorders.

Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) program, or Associate's Degree in Allied Health or Natural Sciences, or training in a 2-year Neurodiagnostic educational program.
• Three (3) years Neurodiagnostic technology experience in an acute care setting, performing procedures on adult patients (infant, pediatric with future growth); experience in Video Long Term Monitoring (LTM) strongly preferred.
• ABRET registry with related credential (R.EEG T. CNIM,CLTM, R.EP T., etc), preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Training experience in all modalities is highly preferred.

Skills and Qualifications
• Knowledge of human anatomy with emphasis on neuroanatomy, physiology, physics, and medical electronics.
• Understanding of pharmacology, especially anti-epileptic and anesthetic medications.
• In-depth knowledge of Electroneurodiagnostic equipment assembly and operation, as well as routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Extensive knowledge in use of analog and digital equipment in the Neurodiagnostic Laboratory and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
• Good understanding of computers for use of digital monitoring equipment and troubleshooting computer malfunction.
• Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

Physical Demands
• Extensive sitting and frequent walking, occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to assist with positioning and transporting patients, i.e., pushing beds, carts, and wheelchairs.
• Ability to maneuver equipment and motor coordination to operate equipment.

Compensation
$36.47/hr - $43.76/hr. The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers.
