Mammography Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Phoenixville Hospital, a member of Tower Health. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for administering ionizing radiation to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols.

• Administer ionizing radiation to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology as they relate to the procedure.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in breast positioning, exposure techniques, and subsequent evaluation of imaging parameters to optimize patient imaging and care while adhering to radiation protection and safety standards.
• Integrate technical skills, patient interaction, and care to obtain viable diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.
• Utilize independent professional judgment and critical thinking to obtain the resultant diagnostic information when possible and seek direction from a MQSA qualified interpreting physician or lawful institutional policies (or standards of care) to continue or discontinue the exam.
• Remain sensitive to the physical, cultural, and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner.

• Post High School Diploma Program
• Relevant Experience
• ARRT Certification and Board Certified in Mammography
• RT (R) (M) (ARRT)
• Excellent Communications Skills
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills
