Product Specialist

The Product Specialist is responsible for assisting Associated's customers in conceptualizing and implementing solutions for distribution, warehouse, and manufacturing environments. The position is responsible for the development of existing customer relationships and the generation of new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:- Meet/exceed sales activity goals and revenue targets by providing viable justification and long-term satisfaction for customers.
- Consistently exhibit a team-oriented, customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
- Lead and manage resources to efficiently sell the full suite of Associated's offerings specific to Raymond I-Warehouse Telematic, LMS, RTLS, and VR.
- Build strong relationships with internal sales teams and business development.
- Field and deploy the appropriate team (Distributor Resources, Project Engineers, Consultants, Management) in order to obtain a respective opportunity.
- Work with all levels within customer organizations, including Executive Management, to conduct sales presentations, demonstrations, negotiations, and project justifications.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of equipment and service offerings within the competitive marketplace.
- Foster a customer-centric approach, focusing on selling solutions with a complete understanding and analysis of the client's existing and future business needs.
- Support and perform business initiatives such as promotions, campaigns, and trade shows.
- Maintain contact with the public, customers, and other employees for the use of information exchange.
- Provide forecasts on business opportunities through accurate and timely updates to management.
- Represent Associated professionally in internal and external business meetings.
- Actively participate in team activities that promote a sense of 'esprit de corps' amongst the Associated Team.
- Plan, organize, and execute sales strategies in a timely manner.
- Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
- Knowledge of comprehensive warehouse management, distribution, and/or material handling industry.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Skilled in excellent written, verbal, presentation, and listening skills to communicate with team members, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Skilled in time-management and maintenance of project deadlines.
- Ability to organize goals, objectives, and execution plan of a project and to build business.
- Ability to work with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
- Ability to take a leadership role and represent integrity, honesty, teamwork, and motivation.
- Ability to work with all buying influences, handle enterprise accounts, and close multi-million dollar deals.
- Ability to identify 'key players' at a customer organization and identify critical issues to be addressed through Associated's offerings.
- Ability to analyze raw data for the use of developing customer solutions to provide for project application.
- Ability to apply sound judgment and reasoning.
- Industrial Engineering Degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the distribution or material handling industry with an understanding of the application of warehousing technology and an aptitude for selling.
- Preferred candidate will have a demonstrable track record of sales success in the fields of industrial telematics and labor management systems.
