Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Children's Institute. As a key member of our Early Childhood Services team, you will provide school-based early childhood mental health consultation services to children and families enrolled in our Early Head Start and Head Start programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation services to caregivers, teachers, and other staff members to address mental health concerns and promote social-emotional development in young children.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement therapeutic interventions and support plans for children and families.
  • Conduct home-based services through our Early Head Start home-based option, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Behavior Science, Psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a classroom behaviorist specializing in work with young children 0-5 and their families.
  • Advanced knowledge of child development and behavior.
  • Valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and travel extensively (over 50% of the time).
  • Spanish/English bilingual preferred.
