Electrical Lineworker

PNM Resources is seeking a skilled Electrical Lineworker to join our team. As a key member of our Transmission and Distribution department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Construction and Maintenance: Erect and set poles and towers, attach necessary crossarms, transformers, circuit breakers, cut-outs, lightning arrestors, anchors, guys; stringing, sagging, insulating, attaching, and connecting conductors.
- Installation and Repair: Install or may assist in cable construction by testing and tracing circuits in power systems; makes various types of connections between electrical conductors; insulates conductors properly for the voltage conditions under which they are to operate.
- Patrol and Inspection: Patrol and inspect equipment, making minor repairs and reporting equipment in need of major repairs; makes emergency cut-ins and cut-outs.
- Training and Safety: Instructs personnel in the proper and safe way to perform their duties and instructs and trains new men in the use of tools and equipment; provides safety training instructions and is responsible for the general safety of personnel and in the administering of first aid to injured persons when necessary.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of experience in electrical linework or a related field.
- Skills and Qualifications: CDL Class A required; ability to work at heights and in confined spaces; knowledge of electrical systems and safety protocols.
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions, heights, and confined spaces. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
