Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care strategies.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patient conditions, including reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and diagnostic results.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative education, ensuring patients and their support systems understand care plans.
- Adhere to Universal Protocol as per organizational policies.
- Document and communicate patient monitoring and physiological responses to interventions, alerting the surgical team of any significant changes.
- Follow infection control protocols and demonstrate proper hand hygiene practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Effectively communicate with various departments within the healthcare facility.
- Work variable shifts, including 10 or 12-hour shifts with on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active New York Nursing license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
Preferred:
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (available during the introductory period for new hires).
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with hands and fingers, lift and carry light loads (up to 40 lbs), and maintain physical stamina for extended periods. Must be capable of operating necessary equipment for the role.
Work Environment
This position requires onsite presence.
Compensation
Pay Range: $39.63 to $48.18 per hour
