We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Investment Banking Associate to join our Energy Transition team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing analytical and high-level support functions to our clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain complex financial models to support client transactions and projects.
- Perform in-depth financial analysis with minimal oversight to identify opportunities and risks.
- Develop and present high-impact presentation materials to clients and stakeholders using PowerPoint, Excel, and other relevant software programs.
- Stay up-to-date on capital market trends and apply this knowledge to client needs.
- Support the execution of M&A advisory transactions and develop good working relationships with peers and seniors in Capital Markets and the rest of the organization.
- Manage priorities while working on multiple high-priority opportunities simultaneously.
- Complete basic credit and corporate finance overview and analysis independently.
- 3-5 years of experience in Banking, Investment Banking, or Capital Markets.
- MBA or equivalent experience.
- Strong valuation and credit underwriting skills.
- Proven track record of success in working as a part of a team to originate and close complex financial transactions.
- Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79,63 license required.
- Basic understanding of how electricity and other energy commodities markets function, and how market forecasts are made and used by developers and investors.
- Familiarity with the interaction and collaboration of energy transition industry players, to include renewable developers, sustainability focused companies, utilities/grid owners, ISOs, power off-takers, project lenders, and investor specialists.
- Familiarity with the principles of project finance and modeling of tax equity investments into project companies.
