Job Overview

Salary: $18.00 per hour

TransportUS is a leading provider in the medical transportation sector. Our drivers are expected to be polite and approachable, ensuring top-notch customer service at all times. Candidates must present a current K4 DMV printout during the application process, pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, undergo an FBI background check, and complete a physical examination.

Benefits:
Full-time positions, offering $18.00 per hour, come with a comprehensive benefits package that includes vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, medical and dental coverage, as well as a retirement plan.

This role also includes a Health and Welfare benefit of $4.57 per hour for up to 40 hours a week, totaling $182.50 weekly or $792.13 monthly, which can be allocated towards health insurance or a 401k plan.

Referral Bonus:
New hires can earn a referral bonus of $200 after three months for full-time employment and $100 for part-time employment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-inspection checks on all vehicles.
- Ensure that wheelchairs and other mobility devices are secured properly.
- Safely transport clients to and from their appointments.
- Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and supervisors regarding any concerns or issues.
- Utilize cellular phones and GPS for navigation.
- Exhibit self-motivation, responsibility, and a positive attitude.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
- A valid CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
- Must possess a valid Class C driver's license in California.

Applicants should have held a driver's license for a minimum of five years, with no more than one moving violation or one at-fault accident in the past three years.

Work Environment:
Drivers must thrive in a fast-paced setting and be capable of assisting clients in transferring between wheelchairs and chairs.

Schedule:
Work hours will vary from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts required.

Physical Demands:
Candidates must successfully pass a physical examination and be able to lift up to 100 pounds, as well as push and pull up to 200 pounds. The role requires bending, pivoting, and transitioning from standing to kneeling positions.
