About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Tennessee Cancer Specialists. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient visits, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
  • Provide a positive and welcoming experience for patients, families, and visitors.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and completing patient forms.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assisting certification preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant; senior level medical assistants with 5+ years of experience.
  • Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as needed.
