Job Summary

This position is responsible for driving new business growth, building strong customer relationships, and delivering exceptional customer experiences while meeting sales and quality standards. The ideal candidate will provide top-notch customer service, offer expert advice, and ensure safe and timely delivery of products to customers in the assigned market.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  2. Work scheduled shifts, and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
  3. Utilize sales reporting to identify opportunities for growth with top customers.
  4. Reach out to existing customers to offer additional services and solutions.
  5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and services.
  6. Research local markets to identify new business opportunities.
  7. Build new business through unsolicited phone calls or in-person visits with potential customers.
  8. Complete on-the-spot sales and meet monthly sales quota requirements.
  9. Represent the company at community events as a brand ambassador.
  10. Operate and maintain a delivery vehicle and equipment, including a trailer.
  11. Prepare merchandise for delivery, including assembly and loading into the vehicle.
  12. Deliver merchandise to customers' homes, barns, or properties, ensuring delivery procedures and documentation are completed.
  13. Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
  14. Accept returns from customers with a positive attitude.
  15. Report customer concerns to management and work to resolve any issues.
  16. Ensure merchandise being delivered is in good condition.
  17. Perform store-to-store transfers of products as needed.
Qualifications

3+ years of experience required. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred Skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Must have a good driving record.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to navigate and read a map.
  • Ability to use GPS and mapping software.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be a team player and able to work well with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices.
  • Ability to move large, bulky, or heavy merchandise.
  • Ability to use and maneuver a pallet jack.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Calendar.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and stores to schedule delivery services.
  • Ability to drive in all kinds of weather and road conditions.
  • Ability to work within tight time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Working environment is favorable, generally working inside with moderate noise.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to constantly operate a forklift.
  • Ability to constantly operate store equipment such as a computer, cash register, and other store equipment.
  • Ability to move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the store.
  • Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with the assistance of proper material handling equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.
  • Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to safely access all areas of the store, including the selling floor, side lot, stock area, and register area.
  • Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.
  • Ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required training.
  • Ability to travel as required in support of district needs.
