Job Overview:
The role involves providing ongoing care in the realm of sports medicine, focusing on enhancing health and fitness while preventing and managing injuries and illnesses. A comprehensive understanding of wellness promotion and the significance of exercise in fostering a healthy lifestyle is essential. Proficiency in exercise physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, psychology, physical rehabilitation, and epidemiology is crucial for effective practice in sports medicine. The position entails dedicating at least 70% of time to non-surgical orthopedic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient interviews to gather information including symptoms, medical histories, and family histories.
- Perform and/or interpret necessary diagnostic assessments.
- Diagnose conditions and formulate treatment plans for injuries and illnesses.
- Prescribe or administer medications as required.
- Maintain and review patient records, including histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Work is primarily conducted in a clinical and office setting. The individual is accountable for fulfilling all job-specific responsibilities and adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
