Financial Intake Coordinator PRN Nights

The Financial Intake Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial admissions and data processing procedures. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Verify patient insurance coverage and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed prior to admission.
- Monitor and analyze accounts receivable management indicators on a daily basis to ensure timely and accurate collections.
- Ensure that all adjustments and refunds are approved and posted accurately and timely.
- Develop and implement payment arrangements for non-covered or poorly covered services, patients, and/or guarantors to resolve accounting problems.
- Update code and vendor lists as necessary to ensure accurate and efficient intake processing.
- Prepare and report credit reports to Trispan and UNYSIS quarterly.
- Provide cost report information and perform monthly closing accurately and timely.
- Ensure billing logs are accurate and up-to-date.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 7 years of experience in a related field with knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
