About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers. As a key member of our retail operation, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating our cash register system, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Ensure that each guest receives outstanding customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Cash Handling: Operate the cash register system, process transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Sales Floor Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and ensuring that the dressing room is tidy.
  • Round-Up Opportunities: Ask customers to round up their totals in support of our mission and/or scholarship programs.
  • Meet Sales Goals: Meet or exceed daily retail store goals, including sales targets and customer satisfaction metrics.
Requirements
  • Basic Math Skills: Possess basic math skills, including addition and subtraction of money.
  • Customer Service Experience: Prior experience working in a retail or customer service-related environment is preferred.
  • Education: A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
  • Cash Handling Experience: Cash handling experience is preferred.
