Experience Required: Successful completion of job-specific skills assessment; 6 to 12 months of relevant experience or completion of an apprenticeship program.

Education Required: No high school diploma necessary.

Lifting Requirement: Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Age Requirement: Minimum age of 18 years.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Stock display cases and tables with cakes by transferring products from preparation areas.
2. Adhere to established procedures to maintain inventory levels and minimize out-of-stock occurrences.
3. Utilize merchandising strategies to enhance sales and create a memorable experience for customers.
4. Process special orders from customers via phone and in-person interactions.
5. Ensure product quality by regularly checking the sales area for freshness and condition.
6. Document daily losses accurately.
7. Prioritize safety in all operational aspects for team members, customers, and products.
8. Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting customers in locating products and answering inquiries.
9. Motivate fellow team members and customers with a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to excellence.
10. Handle products and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations to maintain a secure shopping environment.
11. Keep work areas, equipment, and utensils clean to meet safety and sanitation standards.
12. Prepare and adorn products for display, ensuring proper rotation and freshness.
13. Maintain compliance with safety and sanitation protocols, including emergency procedures and housekeeping standards.
14. Accurately record special orders to ensure customer satisfaction with the final product.
15. Stay informed about new products and procedures, including product information, special orders, and seasonal offerings.
16. Decorate cakes using various techniques and tools, ensuring high-quality presentation.
17. Prepare icing and other ingredients by following recipes and measuring accurately.
18. Assist in maintaining efficiency in the backroom, cooler, and freezer by managing deliveries.
19. Operate department equipment safely, including mixers and cutting tools.
20. Support other areas as needed.
