We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Jackson Purchase Medical Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical support to our patients and healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a physician or nurse.
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Document patient care given.
- Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Associate Degree required, Bachelor degree preferred.
- Registered Nurse licensed to work in the State of Kentucky.
- New Graduates may work under a KY provisional license for up to 6 months with the expectation that an RN license will be obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
- BLS required.
