Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Therapy Tech IV to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in rehabilitation therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. As a Rehabilitation Therapy Tech IV, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation plans, providing guidance and support to patients and staff, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each patient.
2. Provide guidance and support to patients and staff, including training and education on rehabilitation techniques and strategies.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
4. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor patient progress and adjust rehabilitation plans as needed.
5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, including progress notes and treatment plans.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as rehabilitation therapy, psychology, or social work.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in rehabilitation therapy or a related field.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
4. Ability to develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each patient.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess patient progress and adjust rehabilitation plans as needed.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The Rehabilitation Therapy Tech IV will be required to work a regular schedule, with occasional overtime and weekend shifts. The position also requires the ability to lift and move patients, as well as to work in a variety of settings, including clinics, hospitals, and community-based programs.
