Job Summary

PSCI is seeking an experienced Electrical Fabrication Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Fabrication Technician, you will be responsible for fabricating electrical test equipment, reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics, and collaborating with engineers and other team members to ensure high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate electrical test equipment designs from blueprints, schematics, and engineering practices manuals
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve design and process issues
  • Operate under moderate supervision, with a focus on individual contributor and team environment
  • Use computer-based programs to update job status, quality inspections, and engineering changes
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in electrical fabrication (cable and harness, SMT board, test equipment, etc.)
  • Ability to properly safety wire assemblies and connectors
  • Ability to solder and repair cables and harnesses
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Strong knowledge and experience in repairs of electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Knowledge of basic avionics and electronics
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and fault isolation of components using general-purpose and/or automated test equipment
  • Knowledge of automated and/or general-purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers, and waveform generators)
  • Knowledge of the interpretation of engineering drawings, schematics, and test and repair procedures
  • Ability to communicate issues with the design and/or the process requirements to management and/or design engineers
  • Familiarity with industrial standards, military specifications, and industry processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
  • Ability to understand policies and procedures for the control of Government property
  • Ability to work with hazardous materials
  • High school diploma
  • Knowledge of Basic Mechanical/Electrical Concepts (2-4 years)
  • Knowledge of Complex Mechanical/Electrical Concepts (2-4 years)
  • Knowledge of Electrical Technology (2-4 years)
  • 1-2 years of experience with Electrical Troubleshooting
  • 1-2 years of experience with Mechanical and Electrical Systems
  • 1-2 years of experience with Electrical Standards
  • 1-2 years of experience with Electrical Testing
  • 1-2 years of experience with Reading Electrical Schematics/Engineering Schematics
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721
  • Knowledge of fault isolation for electromechanical components
  • Knowledge of concepts for hardware repair
  • Experience with CCA component rework and repair
  • Rework experience with BGAs and electrical maintenance and rework
