Job Overview

Location: Jessie Lord Bakery, LLC

Position Summary:

The role involves executing various tasks to guarantee the safe and efficient operation of machinery in the production area. This includes maintaining all safety and quality protocols, adjusting machinery for optimal performance, minimizing downtime, reducing waste, and ensuring smooth product transitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot assigned machinery.
  • Ensure machine-specific operations, including equipment configuration, loading, and maximizing machine capabilities.
  • Oversee basic maintenance and uphold product quality standards.
  • Prepare machines for production cycles, including calibration and cleaning, and adjust settings as necessary.
  • Continuously supply raw materials into appropriate hoppers and rollers throughout the shift.
  • Regularly monitor machine performance to maintain accurate product specifications.
  • Report mechanical and operational issues to the maintenance team promptly.
  • Achieve standard production rates, minimize waste, and comply with company requirements.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and reporting.
  • Assist in training and directing team members, ensuring safety and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Ensure the quality of products produced during the shift in accordance with company quality systems and procedures.
  • Operate machinery and tools safely and effectively, following established guidelines.
  • Assemble and disassemble machines for use or changeovers, ensuring proper lubrication of moving parts.
  • Understand and follow daily production schedules and product specifications.
  • Perform assigned clean-up tasks.
  • May undertake additional duties as assigned by management.

Food Safety Duties:

  • Report and assist in resolving any food safety issues immediately.
  • Monitor and enforce current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices and prerequisite programs.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions in English and/or Spanish.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be capable of standing, stooping, bending, and climbing regularly.

Compensation: $18.50 per hour

Shift: 2nd shift

Reporting To: Shift Supervisor
