Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Paving Laborer to join our team at The Middlesex Corporation. As a Paving Laborer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient completion of paving projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with and promote all Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Participate in daily huddles and tool box talks to stay informed and aligned with project goals.
  • Identify potential hazards and assist in maintaining a safe work environment for all team members.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to include day/night shift work with extended hours.
  • Perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions and climb ladders while maintaining a 3-point contact.
  • Assist with layout of project and marking of roadway structures.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with team members and supervisors.
  • Operate a tack wagon and assist with MOT set up and flagging operations.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of tools and equipment and backing of dump trucks in a safe manner.
  • Ensure assigned equipment is properly maintained and kept clean at all times.
  • Assist in daily project inspection to ensure work is complete with the highest quality and all cleanup is complete.
Requirements
  • Safety and quality orientated with good health status and flexibility to bend, push, pull, stoop and/or twist.
  • Ability to multi-task and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and verbal skills.
