PENN Entertainment is looking for talented individuals to join our team as Food Servers. As a Food Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our guests have a positive gaming experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take orders from patrons and return them in a timely manner
- Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service
- Writes order on check or memorizes it
- Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars
- Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
- Clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course
- Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving
- Carves meats, bones fish and fowl, and prepares flaming dishes and desserts at patron's table
- Totals bill and accepts payment or refers patron to Cashier
- Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by establishment's size and practices
- Ensures all guests at 1st Jackpot Casino enjoy a positive gaming experience due to high quality of guest service
- Welcomes and interacts with guests and other team members with a genuine display of caring and friendliness
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Zero to one year experience in cocktail serving preferred
- Must be able to obtain Alcohol Beverage Control card
- Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions
- Knowledge of all kitchen/bar equipment, Micro System, ABC laws, regulations, and gaming laws
- Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol
- Ability to perform assigned job duties in an interruptive environment
- Knowledge of safety guidelines
