Key Responsibilities

The Senior Cost Analyst - Costing will spearhead the Standard Costing initiatives across our global supply chain framework. This role operates within a matrix structure, establishing the individual as the go-to expert for the advanced cloud-based Oracle ERP system. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the annual development of cross-functional Standard Costs and maintaining the system throughout the year, focusing on inputs such as material purchase expenses, budgets, production hours, resource rates, bill of materials (BOM), production routings, foreign exchange rates, and lot sizes.
  • Providing support during month-end close processes, along with conducting ad-hoc analyses and reporting for various sub-processes.
  • Conducting inventory and production assessments, which may involve inventory valuation reports, issue resolution, production job and purchase order/receipt variance analyses, excess and obsolete inventory evaluations, profit eliminations, product line assignments, and inventory adjustments.
  • Advising local teams on identifying risks, process deficiencies, and implementing opportunities for enhancement.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in cost analysis or comparable roles.
  • Expertise in cloud-based cost accounting software, with a preference for experience in Oracle Fusion (other systems are also acceptable).
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and cost accounting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with large datasets.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-departmental communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to data analysis, with the ability to articulate complex processes to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Capability to influence and guide colleagues on policies, procedures, and optimal strategies.
