Responsibilities


The MRI Technologist is accountable for executing all facets of MR imaging accurately and in line with established protocols and policies for diagnosing and treating various medical conditions in patients across all demographics.

Adheres to all regulatory standards and MRI safety protocols, collaborating with the MRSO and MRMD.

Upholds professional standards of conduct and ethics as defined by departmental expectations and professional organizations.

Contributes to comprehensive patient care by accessing relevant patient information, processing images, ensuring accuracy in imaging, billing, and documentation, and recording exam-related information in the departmental computer system.

Engages in additional activities to support clinical team members when not involved in imaging tasks.


Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

- Current NJ State License.
- Effective July 1, 2017, ARMRIT/ARRT certification in MRI is mandatory.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
- Venipuncture certification required.
- Must have graduated from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program or ARMIT MRI course.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist is preferred.
